Great Combo for the wife

Wife loves this fishing reel and rod in the 3000 size mated with 6/20lb. pink camo spiderwire. She's caught bass up to 5lb. and I even caught a 20lb. Jack C with it!
Pros
- Good feel and grips nicely made
Cons
- Not sealed be careful with saltwater make sure not to dunk reel it and clean it properly after saltwater use, especially if breaking threw surf on a kayak and it's getting hit by waves. Great reel for the price if you treat it properly.

My girl really wanted a pink fishing reel & rod combo and I told her not until she catches her first keeper, later that same night she caught a 16" drum and after fishing we came across this setup and for the price it is really nice, she loves it!

We had already purchased the 2500 size and did a review on that. Well now we have the 5000 model and once again, it's an excellent combo. I cannot speak for the newer Passion combos but these "last year's" models are perfect with the ladies around me here.

Super pleased with this combo. Most times when you purchase a rod and reel combo, either the rod or reel is not great. I’m happy to say that both are great in this case. The reel is smooth and casts with ease. The rod is well balanced and has a nice flex. My only regret is the length of the rod, it’s slightly too long compared to my last one so it’s taking a bit to get used to it.

I noticed the Penn Passion 2500 combo comes with a Light rod, is it possible to get a Penn Passion 2500 with a Medium Light rod?

The Combos come directly from penn sold as one piece if you prefer the medium light rod then i would suggest the 3000 series.
