Great Value
December 21, 2019
I feel this is a great value for a saltwater rod. I have the 6’ 20-50lb rod pared with a vintage Penn Senator 4/0. It’s a well balanced combo and bottom fishes well! I’ve even had success catfishing with it.
Pros
  • Sturdy
  • Strong
  • Inexpensive

Great rod !
September 1, 2018
Great rod in the 15-30lb class . I’ve bought 4 this year and can’t say enough good things about this rod I’ve got it matched to a Penn Warfare 30 level wind, spoiled with 30 pound mono and have caught everything from snapper, triggerfish, redfish and grouper.
Pros
  • Strong backbone, sensitive tip, inexpensive
Cons
  • None

Nice Quality at a Nice Price
January 28, 2018
I bought this rod to go with a Penn 209M for inshore bottom fishing in Florida. It was a perfect match.

A nice quality rod with the perfect action for inshore fishing. Better than most at this price point.
Pros
  • You can't beat the price.

What would be a good reel for this rod?
1 Answer
I'd suggest a Penn Warfare or Penn Squall in the 20 to 30 size range.
