Great pole!

80 - 130 is what i use on my current sharking pole. Hasn't let me down yet, and I've tangled with 600 lb sharks with this pole. . Well worth the investment into one of these beauties.

Well made rod with excellent guide and butt hardware. Great backbone and action to apply the needed pressure to land the big ones. Great price compared to other manufacturers. I will be buying this again.

Great rod, bad customer service !!!

The rod is just great, however the customer service is terrible. I pay for one day delivery service and Tackle sent my rod in standard service !!!!!! Nobody told me nothing!!!..... just send the rod and say enjoy it !!! .... very bad

I have two shimano tiagra reels 30wlrsa and two penn international 50vsx and would like to match them with an appropriate rod. Which rod would work best for each type of reel? A big plus if the bottom part of the rods can be detached. Thanks

For the 50VSX reels, go with the VS8013AWA60 (PEN-0805). It is 6', 80-130# line and has a detachable straight butt.
For the Tiagra 30's, we don't have anything with a detachable butt. We suggest going with either VS5010AWA60 (PEN-0312) or the TLC59XHRSBLA (SHM-2662). The Shimano is a Tallus 5'9" XH, 40-60# line, with roller and stripper guides.
