Penn Conflict spool replacements are made for each size of the Penn Conflict spinning reels. These spare spools are Superline Spools. No backing is needed because the rubber gasket keeps superlines from slipping.

A must have!! I like braid for certain fishing......but...not full time.... I like mono much more.....it is more forgiving.

- ...it is an open spool. It is 'Real Trick' looking....until it gets some wash sand! You must be prepared to maintain the reel/spool if it takes a 'Dump'........

This makes it nice to have a spare spool ready to go on the boat. Eliminates the need to carry spools of line on the boat. This is a lot easier then having to spool a reel up while on the boat and reduces down fishing time.

I ordered this extra spool shortly after I purchased 5000 reel.
Appearance is very cool, and also, light weight than battle,
Black paint easy to chip away, but still good quality.
Rubber ring also help to put braid line directly..

I currently have a Penn Conflict 6000. Can I put the 5000 spool on this reel?

A 5000 Conflict spool will not fit on a 6000 Conflict reel.
