I love the rubberized handle and the blue camo is sharp

Good option for someone looking for a good combo. Reel is good quality and smooth. Fishing pole worked great on jetty and local lake.

i am pretty sure that these blanks are based off of the prevail series. these combos with beat anything you hook up too. and the limited addition blue battle 3 is really nice.

These are great combos if you like Penn, but dont want to shell out the extra money for the Spinfisher or the Slammer

I was looking for a 2 piece travel set up and the Penn BTL4000LE702M Battle III LE Spinning Combo was the perfect set up. The first time using this rod was for Blackfish in November off Cape May, NJ and it was my go to rod all day. Caught Sea Bass, Black Fish and Sharks all day and the medium action handled each catch very well.

Heading to Florida the end of August and wanted a new inshore setup. Got this and decided to take it to some of the local rivers , this thing is a blast to use solid and holds a ton of line !

Purchased a 8’MH combo. It’s super light and comes with a great reel

He loves it and after handling it I am going to buy one for myself. This is a good handling rod used for surf and from my boat. So far it has handled everything thrown at it. It is stout without being to heavy.

Reel and rod were shipped in different packages and at different times. With this being said the reel was not shipped with its original box, just rapped with bubble wrap. The rod came later and the ceranic finish in a coupe of the guides lacked the quality. The reel seems to be a quality reel even though I would prefer the 4000 with thus 8 ft rod. The downside of combos is that you dont have to choose the rod and reel for the type of fishing you do. Penn is one of the two main brands I use for reels. Love the reel but this lower end rod lack quality as many of the products are made in China.
