At the time of buying it, was 130 and was worth every penny, nice and smooth and casts great, make sure you clean it though because it is not sealed.

Good Rod & Reel Combo for Inshore / Surf

You can use this for both inshore and surf fishing. I have pulled up to 40" bull reds with this reel and the drag never disappointed me. Rod is strong and won't break.

Great light tackle combo

Bought this as a backup to my other Penn setup that I use which has a Battle II 3000 reel. This rod is top notch, reel is smooth, casts really well and has caught some nice fish already. Action is a tiny bit slower than I'm used to but this was a great buy. I highly recommend for a beginner or anyone looking for a solid reel in a combo setup.

Balance and handling

This combo is just what i like. It is balance good and is easy to use for me. It holds plenty of line 30lb braid is almost 500 yds. so it can handle anything I can from the beach. Plan on using for kings from my boat and pier also.

Great rod and reel. I own two of these. Good for all around inshore fishing. And cheap way for someone to get into fishing. But have a quality product.

What is the lure ounce rating for this rod?

Since it is an inshore rod, and it is medium-light power with extra fast action, I would make the safe assumption that the lure rating would be no more than 2oz.

The Reel is ambidextrous, it is both right and left handed all you have to do is switch the handle to the other side.
