Bought a motorcycle with 3 of these pelican 1500 installed on a rack system. 50mph crash and laptop and contents were still good. Heck the cases didnt even break just scratches

These things are bulletproof. I carry 2 - Lowrance HDS-8 units in my 1550. No better protection in my book. One product that is worth every dime you pay for it.

Pelican 1550 Case

I use the 1550 case to store my Lowrance HDS-7 and HDS-8 fish finders. Perfect protection for expensive electronics like the HDS units. The foam can be punched in 1/2" increments so it form fits them and keeps them secure during travel and long term storage. Completely waterproof and airtight. Sturdiest storage I've ever used.
I have a smaller case I use to stow my valuables (iPhone, wallet, pistol) when I'm on the water. Same top quality build.
