Yes, you can go to a big box retailer and buy kinda similar gloves for a quarter the price. That said, these gloves are better. They feel great on the hands and work great handling the line on giant blue fin, and sharks here in the northeast. This is my 2nd pair.

Unfortunately I haven't had a chance to test them out. They are nice looking gloves and fit well overall. They are not snug fitting, I'll say it's because of the material and the fact that they're new. They're sturdy and I'm sure they'll do the job

Appears to be well made with heavy duty materials, time will tell. These gloves did not fit my hands as well as I would like. The Medium/Large were too small. I exchanged them for the Large/X-Large and these were a little too large but I'll use them.

- More rugged than other full fingered fishing gloves I've tried.

- Wish they had in-between sizes

My husband really likes this glove, We had been kayaking and his kayak flipped over, so he lost the gloves, I had to get him another pair, he likes that they have kevlar in them, good for handling fish with sharp teeth!!
