Red Owner mutu light hooks
September 13, 2021
These hooks are great for inshore fishing for bottom grabbers such as rockfish, sand and calico bass when the fish are finicky. Seems to me the red color disappears down in the depths making a more stealthy offering. Being a light wire hook they are also strong. Have also used the mutu light hooks for flyline live bait fishing with great results especially when bait is weak, allowing your bait a better presentation.
Pros
  • Light, strong, and stealthy.

Great Surf hook
March 26, 2021
Extremely reliable hooks. Use 1/0 and it catches everything from tiny whiting to 10 lb redfish. Nice hookups in the corner of their mouth. Extremely satisfied with performance.
Pros
  • Sharp, reliable, great in the surf on double dropper rigs.

perfect for refined live baiting
September 12, 2020
It is sticky sharp out of the box and will likely bend open vs snapping when under overwhelming pressure. Granted, it is a light wire hook and I would not recommend fishing more than 8# of drag with it. I have landed 2 bluefin tuna in the mid 30# range on the no. 2 and that is probably the limit of these hooks.
Pros
  • light wire enables bait to swim well
Cons
  • not for anything about 30# tackle- can handle fish over 30#, but cannot be horsed.

Are these offset or non, thank you
1 Answer
Hi John, The Mutu Light Circle Hooks come with a slight offset that Owner describes as a "Hangnail" point which is unique to their circle hooks. The Offset is slight but is noticeable when looked at. If you have any further questions please contact our customer service center for assistance! Tight Lines!

The description calls it a "light" circle hook.  Will they bend with a decent fish or does "light" just refer to the weight of the hook. 2/0 fishing for Snook.

1 Answer
The light in the description refers to the wire used for this hook. It's a thinner wire, but is still very strong. They would make great hooks for smaller live bait for snook.
