Not sure if owner goes with industry standards with sizing, but these were much smaller than anticipated.

Mackerel

The only thing that sways me more towards the feather or foil string types is that as previous people have stated, these can and most likely will deform.They also after multiple uses can become brittle and crack. Other than that though they are great. if you tie a Kastmaster to the end of it and jerk it fast horizontally through the water, as soon as you get the first hookup and the fish is flailing on the line more are coming. Great if you need to catch some live bait in a hurry to fill the livewell.

Used one of these with a Sabiki rod where there are no rod rings and the line goes through the center of the rod..
On first use, the rig worked great catching some mackerel. Then the rig was stored, with the wet hooks/lures/whatever they're called, inside the rod. Next use it was very hard to get them back out of the rod and once out they were stiff and deformed into odd shapes and did not work very well.
I assume these are actually made with fish skin which once wet will deform into odd shapes if not stored properly. Not really practical for an actual sabiki rod...

These rigs are great, and they catch almost any type of small fish. I use these for herring, perch, spot, snappers, and when tipped with bait, they will catch nearly anything. These rigs have even caught big triggerfish for me.
