Bought on advice of a tackle shop here in Hawaii . I rigged double hook rigs and stiff rigs with the 9/0 and 8/0 hooks . The lures were rinsed with fresh water and dried after trolling . Within a few days the hooks were significantly rusted . I’m sending the remaining purchased hooks back to Tackle Direct . The packaging states the hooks are rust resistant , they are not.

This is a big hook for a 8/0 but is very strong.

possibly the sharpest hooks I have used. They slice right through the jaw and hold tight so you can land that monster fish.

I purchases these hooks to try them as a lead hook for large muskie flies. The extended straight portion of the shank seemed like it would allow me to add materials in at the extreme rear of the hook to minimize fouling while casting. So far it is working out. Extremely heavy hook gauge, so be sure to set the hook with avengance

These are some sharp, stout hooks. I used them for rigging trolled lures and the black finish was damaged in all areas of contact (these are version without the Rustop). When I got back in and began washing my gear I noticed that anywhere the coating had rubbed off, corrosion had begun. It seems as though this is a deliberate strategic design to allow the hook to rust-out if a fish is lost. Personally I was hoping for a more durable finish, but I do appreciate the concept. And I like the stealthy black.

I've never had any issues with these hooks. I use it on my big conventional shark rod and reel. I've never had a hook straighten on me and I've never lost a fish to a bad hook set. When these hooks catch they don't go anywhere. These hooks are defiantly worth spending the little bit extra money for top quality terminal tackle.
