THEY STICK AND DON'T LET GO
March 7, 2022
I fish for bluecats on the Texas lakes and I make my own leaders. I won some leaders in a raffle 3yrs ago and had owner hooks on them. These hooks are sharp as heck and strong. I can definitely say these will be perfect for alligator gar when it warms up . I recommend these hooks to anyone I use the 10/0 ones which seem to be all purpose.
Pros
  • Will catch anything you want.
Cons
  • a lil bit price 34$ for 14 hooks

Strong, sharp, durable. I usually get sizes 1 through 3/0 for inshore and surf fishing and these have never let me down. Only time I had one even slightly bend was on a ray in the 100-120lb range, impressive to me bc I landed him and bc of how much pressure I was putting on my gear.

Went down to Islamorada to catch tarpon. Caught three tarpon, two were well over 125lbs. One was 80-100lbs. No bend in the hook. Caught two five foot bull sharks neither of those were even close to bending this beast of a hook! Great price for a fishing machine!

Great Hooks
November 26, 2020
Owner Tournament Mutu Light Circle Hooks are a super high quality, very sharp point, in-line/non-offset circle hook. I use the smaller 1 and 1/0 hooks for porgy or sheepshead. Use 2/0 - 4/0 hooks for fluke, tautog, Black Sea Bass, and Stripers. Use 5/0, 6/0 hooks for Striper and bluefish; however, I also use medium gauge hooks when I use hooks larger than 5/0. Owner hooks are great and I highly recommend .... 99.9% of hook ups in the corner of the mouth!!!!!!
Pros
  • Light weight, strong, sharp point, non-offset and hooks almost every fish in corner of mouth. Highly recommend!!!!
Cons
  • Hooks are light but very strong... that said, you may want to switch to a medium gauge when targeting larger fish and using hooks 6/0 or larger.
