The Trolling Jobu , is big game fishing's ultimate trolling hook. Many fishermen have used stainless hooks for trolling due to corrosion resistance. High Carbon hooks are superior in all other categories including strength by diameter, which allow better hook up ratios due to smaller wire diameters. The Trolling Jobu includes Rustop attached to its shank which acts as a sacrificial anode to attract corrosion away from the hook.. Rustop extends the life of high carbon hooks, allowing angler's to troll for days with the same hook. When pitting becomes evident on the Rustop, simply replace it. Many marlin fatalities occur when a fish is hooked and lost but a stainless hook remains lodged in the fish, never corroding out.

Can this be used on knife jigs?

Hi Wp, We do not recommend using these hooks for knife jigs as the shank it too short. We recommend looking at the Owner Gorilla hooks ( https://www.tackledirect.com/owner-gorilla-hooks.html ) or the BKK Deep Jigging Hooks ( https://www.tackledirect.com/bkk-deep-jigging-hooks.html ).
