The Orvis Clearwater Fly Rod is designed with a purpose-built profile and action to handle small streams, freshwater and big game fish. The rod is beautifully finished in black chrome with white accents and boasts premium chrome snake and stripping guide with ceramic insert, a full black-nickel aluminum reel seat, and smooth cork.

For flyfishing upstate Pennsylvania larger streams / rivers the Orivs Clearwater 9' 6wt would be fine. If your going to fish smaller streams then the Clearwater 7'6" 4wt will do the trick. As far as a reel, The Orvis Clearwater Large Arbor II fly reel (4-6wt) will work on either rod. The fly line would be either the Orvis Hydros Trout or Clearwater Trout to match the weight class of the rod you choose and some 20lb dacron backing. You would also need need some leaders and tippet.
