Would you be able to have a ride sleeve on your rod and still fit in the clip without pinching the sleeve?

The clips are 1.5" in diameter, so it depends on the diameter of the rod with the sleeve.

What is the diameter of this clip? Im looking for something that will hold my offshore rods which is about an inch thick at the base of the rod.
