sturdy reel
March 11, 2016
the reel is good, dont know about the other review which is stating when in bait runner mode is doesn't have a clicker, it does have a clicker on that mode. mine works fine, the drag is pretty strong too, taken this to the amazon and fished for red tail catfish on it, works just fine.
Pros
  • sturdy and strong drag.
Cons
  • the plastic at the bottom of the bait runner cap, that tends to crack, my is already worn off.

Great Ultra-Light Baitfeeder
July 10, 2015
Great reel for fresh and saltwater where you don't want to spook the fish with heavy string. 6lb string and a light rod and you'll have a blast. The Batfeeder is magic, all the benefits of a bat caster casting reel without the backlash.

Great Reel for inshore live bait fishing
November 15, 2014
This Reel makes a big difference when you are fishing live shrimp. The baitfeeder system gets more fish hooked, especilly rock snappers that hit the shrimps very hard and fast.
Pros
  • Stopping power is great and much better priced than other brands with the same system. It works smooth.

The price is right

I have two of the size 30 reels and they work great. Mostly for big carp. 16#'s and up. Bait runner lets em run with that circle hook and when i think it's nestled nicely in the corner of their mouth , one crank and I'm into the main drag which is smooth as silk. I've taken some very reluctant big carp on this reel and it's no worry big fun. You can fill the spool to the rim and get long bird nest free casts every time. (flipping the bail back and placing the line in the roller by hand as you should with all spinners) Highly recommend.
Pros
  • casting, weight, smooth drags, price.
Cons
  • crank must be positioned right to engage Bait feeder drag

very compact, but powerful for a reel of its size, definitely recommended for the budget-conscious angler!

Chesapeake Rockfish
June 22, 2013
I use this reel for livelining in the Chesapeake bay. Mostly resident rockfish up to 35".
Pros
  • Good quality for the money. Works well so far.
Cons
  • When the baitrunners is active there is no clicker(noise) when the line is peeling away. Other baitrunners have this functionality and it works well to notify you a fish is working your bait.
