I had this rod for a while now. I've caught everything from Rock Cod to Yellowtail. I paired it up with a Lexa 400 and had a solid combo for throwing swimbaits and could easily use it in a pinch for live bait. I landed a 25lb Yellowtail on this rod. It has a sensitive tip and has backbone. However my tip recently broke on this rod and I wasn't rough on this rod. Disappointed with the durability.

I got one of these rods just out of curiosity since I heard so much about them. First day out on a yellowtail trip I landed a 37 pounder. This rod paired with a Lexa 400 win landed a 37 pounder yellow with no issues. The tip is very sensitive and can feel every little tug, I can even feel my live bait tapping. Plenty of backbone for lifting power very comfortable in my hand, light weight. I was able to whip out casts with ease. I totally recommend this rod for any inshore adventure you go on.
Pros
  • all around perfect inshore rod
Cons
  • None so far
