Great Travel Rod
August 18, 2021
This 4-piece rod was perfect. I carried it on without any issues even on the small commuter planes. Great fishing rod. With this rod I successfully landed my daily limit of Sockeye Salmon the last week in July of the Kenei River in Alaska.
Pros
  • Compact
  • Action
  • Durability

Perfect for international travel
July 22, 2021
I got this rod to take to Mexico on vacation. I can get the rod in the overhead compartment and a reel with lures on my carry one. No need to check a large tube for a one price rod. For a few day fishing from the beach this rod is great. Maybe a little heave compared to a traditional surf rod but for a travel rod 5 stars
Pros
  • Compact for air travel. Great construction

Great rod for the price
July 12, 2021
Perfect rod for my 3000 series reel for casting from dock or jetty. Should handle all medium weight lures I use. Fit and finish is as good as expected. Hope to use throwing plugs on beach.
Pros
  • Price was exceptional
  • Compact with case
Cons
  • Case should be made to be more protective

Is each section of the rod 21" or less? I need 21" or less to fit in my standard size carry-on pull behind suitcase. Otherwise I will check my rods in tubes and don't need to have travel rods that aren't one piece.
1 Answer
Unfortunately, each piece is over 21". Not by much. The longest piece is 25.5 Inches.
