Interesting combintion

Good rod, great for the price when they were being cleared out.
Pros
- High quality components and beautiful finish.
- Very exact lb range really perfect for fighting fish in their class
- Great west coast style fore grip that's durable
Cons
- These are touted as lightweight but the butt section feels out of balance (heavy) until you get a fish on.
- Not available anymore, hoping Okuma brings them back.

Beautiful rod strong solid backbone!

Rod is very easy on the eyes. Backbone seems extremely strong for its line class. Makaira series have never let me down. Have 2 of these rods as well as a couple rollers. Great product.
