Feels like a 200+ dollar reel !!!
June 29, 2021
Honestly one of the best value reels I ever used, it has the best feeling bail arm EVER, and is smooth enough for most people, the reel is made out of a carbon composite I believe which is very rigid and solid yet makes it lighter than expected. The only difference when comparing it to a penn clash for example is that the penn feels like it's milled from metal while the okuma is warmer to the touch since it's a composite, but other than that, the drag sounds beautiful, the handle is nice, the line lay is MUCH BETTER on the okuma, and it feels smoother than a clash. Definitely a value king for less than 90 dollars u get a reel that feels like its 200+ $. I had my hesitation before buying an okuma epixor xt cause I initially wanted a Diawa lt reel, but let me tell you it's a very pleasant surprise. I recommend watching tackle advisors video on YouTube to get a second opinion. I think if anyone is looking for a reel that feels like it's more expensive but without spending that much buy this reel
Pros
  • -Best sounding bail arm
  • -amazing line lay
  • -smooth enough for most people
  • -seems to be very durable
  • -large line capacity for the size
  • -drag is sealed and sounds great
  • -composite construction makes it lighter than equivalent penns
  • -thick bail wire
Cons
  • -feels warm and slightly plasticy due to composite construction
  • -not as smooth as higher-end shimanos
