I bought this combo last month and tested it in Cape Cod, for the 3 peices rod, it's an excellent quality, easy to handle and to pack for travel and it's very sensitive, so when fishing it's like feeding fishes with your own fingers. The reel is good, it has more than enough line capacity and it drags well. I give the combo 4.5 stars

Got into some major schools of black drums in Red Fish Bay and this rig handled everything that these blacks could throw at it. This is my first inshore rig, but I am planning on putting through quite a lot this summer. From what I have seen so far, a great rig, smooth and powerful.

Not only is the combo good for Back Bay fishing but it would probably do just fine for snapper and small grouper.
