    Seems to be the right weight for all around fishing in the gulf of Mexico. Light enough for anyone to handle and heavy enough to land a red grouper. Wound with braid has good feel for those light bites.

    i have a 23 foot walkaround boat mostly filled with boat rods these rods are great for casting for top water fish just had it out about 2 weeks ago came into a large school of bluefish started casting some spoons on the okums they worked great we had about 18 bluefish in less then 1 hour one of the best deals I got in a long time
