The added accessories seem to let the hook flutter a little longer which keeps it in the strike zone longer.. it also added a little flash to help attract fish.

great hook i used on a butterfly jig for stripers they loved the mylar flare on the hook getting them on was bit of the trick but i got them on and caught fish with them.

Good hooks nothing wrong with them... just not my style... they're too beefy... I like a thinner hook for for slow pitch jigging... they are super sharp...
