The Ocean Born Flying Pencil Lure has a common body shape when compared to other pencil poppers on the market, however it features uncommon castability and action. The side wings enhance aerodynamics and give the lure life once it's in the water. That means the Flying Pencil casts further and moves more enticingly than any other bait of its kind. Available in Floating, Sinking, and Super Long Distance models, with the Floating and Sinking models featuring 4X treble hooks and the Super Long Distance models coming with 6X treble hooks.

Super long casting

Was out at block island. This lure allowed me to huck it far into the north rip on 20lb mono. Even against a stiff breeze I managed serious distance. Landed a few stripers and monster blues with little damage to the hooks and body compared to other lures in the same class.
Pros
  • Long casting distance.
  • Hooks are strong.

Ocean Born makes quality lures. This one is a little smaller than what I normally use but I'm sure I'll find my self in a situation where I'm glad I have this size in my bag.
