The Nomad Design Vertrex Max is a uniquely designed lure that provides maximum vibration and depth. Coming from the great mind of Nomad Lure Designer Damon Olsen. The Vertrex Max stays in the strike zone longer because you can fish it slower. The ideal lure to use with vertical jigging and cast retrieve techniques. Featuring a deep body profile combined with finely tuned internal weights delivers a soft vibration bait that sinks level without spinning on the drop. This allows you to get down to the fish faster. The deeper body design combined with the body shape creates huge vibration on the lift at fast and slow speeds. The amount of vibration you can achieve at slow speeds just gently hopping this lure on or near the bottom is what sets the Vertrex MAX apart from all other soft vibration baits. A versatile lure that can be cast or retrieved as a lipless crankbait and fished vertically like a slow pitch jig allowing for targeting of fish throughout the water column. Tested and proven to be a dynamic vertical jigging presentation on reef species like Grouper and Snapper.

this bait is a great option to have on a rod ready to pitch at any Mahi that curiously comes around the boat. I have found that they can't resist it!

most dramatic lure I have seen

I striper fished this spring in the rivers of south jersey and we were using the 5/8 oz jighead with a jerk shad or paddle tail. One of the guys started using this lure in the bleeding mullet design and began catching stripers at a 5-1 ratio to the rest of us. I am a charter captain and this is the biggest difference I have seen in lure selection.

Whats the best way to connect leader to a Max Vibe? Are power clips a reasonable choice.

Hi Michael, We recommend tying on the Nomad Design with either a direct leader connection with a uni knot or a rapala knot or using a power clip like the tactical anglers clip in 50lbs ( https://www.tackledirect.com/tactical-anglers-power-clips.html ).
