Brought to you by the leading innovators in offshore lure design, the Nomad Design Offshore Spinning Rods are the ultimate weapon for going toe-to-toe with the ocean's apex predators. This powerful series of offshore popping rods was born from decades of research and development in one of the toughest fishing arenas on the planet - Australia’s Great Barrier Reef. Featuring a unique Helix30T45 blank construction method, the blanks are specially tapered with increased casting distance and efficient working of lures in mind. The Helix30T45 blank utilizes the latest Japanese 30 Tonne Toray Carbon with a 45 degree carbon wrapping. This process achieves increased sensitivity, strength and blank responsiveness, giving the angler a better fishing experience and the rod a longer lifespan. Despite their lightweight and comfortable feel, anglers can expect Nomad's new popping rod to have more than enough power and back bone to take down the mightiest beasts, from tuna to giant trevally and more. Fitted with only high quality components, these advanced blanks are equipped with state-of-the-art Fuji SiC K guides for smooth casts and maximum durability, along with an ultra-strong Fuji GM reel seat.

All around great rod for the money.
Pros
  • Lots of power, long butt makes it easy to put lots of pressure on the fish in pair with my VM275
Cons
  • Not a big fan of the 70/30 split. Although it's not hateful with a 7"8 rod.

What size shimano saragosa should I get for the 1)pe 4-6 and 2)pe 5-8?

I'll buy two rods and reels to target exotic species.

1 Answer
Hi Tim, Depending on your fishing application, I would recommend Model: SRG10000SWAPG; TackleDirect Code: SHM-4059. https://www.tackledirect.com/shimano-srg10000swapg-saragosa-sw-a-spinning-reel.html. Depending on what you are targeting this will pair well with the Nomad Design NOS2P784-6 Offshore Spinning Rod (PE 4-6) model. I also would recommend the Shimano Saragosa Model: SRG18000SWAHG; TackleDirect Code: SHM-4061. https://www.tackledirect.com/shimano-srg18000swahg-saragosa-sw-a-spinning-reel.html.
