Mustad Shrimp Jig Head lures are part of the elite jig head system by Mustad. They are the product of intensive work with the Mustad Pro-staffers. A special injection molding technique has been used on these jigs to ensure quality. The hooks on these jigs feature UltraPoint 4.3 technology. The hooks are also forged, opti angle, ringed and feature a duratin finish. These jigs are also 1X strong.

I’ve caught red grouper, yellowtail snapper, porgy, mangrove snapper, blue runner, and barracuda on this little jig. Yellowtail love it!

Perfectly balanced and the hooks are sharp as Hell. Almost Barbed Myself hookong up a Fiddler for Bait. Great Little Jig.

Great Pompano Bait JigHead

Using these Mustad Jighwads to cast shrimp, dead or alive to Pompano at Ponce Inlet and you might not always get a Pompano. It could be a Sheepshead, Blue Runner, Jack Crevalle. Nice size hook for Pomps and I even bought the lighter jighwads for when there is less current. Durable finish. Lucky because these are always out of stock. The secrets out.

Perfect for use with Gulp Shrimp

These jigheads are the only ones to use with gulp shrimp. They keep the bait in the proper position and bounce along the bottom like real shrimp. Catch numbers increased when using these vs standard jigheads.

Shrimp jig!

I use these shrimp jigs off the docks and bridges here in south Florida . They are my favorite goto for snapper and sheepsheads on live shrimp. Rip the end of the tail off the shrimp and thread hook through the end and out the back. There simply isn't a better way to have more hook bit on a live shrimp and let's it stay alive.

- Best for small- medium live shrimp
- Doesn't get stuck fishing the bottom of structure like other jig heads I've used.
Cons
- For larger shrimp, meaning the winter type small lobsters, the hook just isn't big enough. Wish they offered them in a 5/0 eventually

Super Versatile

These jigheads are super versatile. I took them on a trip to florida with a buddy and we used them for about anything anywhere. We used them mostly with shrimp as it says, but we fished up under mangroves, under bridges, off the surf and at some shallow water wrecks/reefs and these jigheads worked everywhere. The snapper were definitely their biggest fan but we caught a bunch of different species on them

This jig is the perfect size for rigging live shrimp. Some jig heads spin in the air when casted which reduces casting distance. These slice right through the wind. Highly recommend!

All around perfect jig

This jig is perfect for those sharp eyed yellowtail snappers, and an occasional red grouper or Amber Jack. I usually use the 1/8 oz version but sometimes you need a heavier version to get past some pesky blue runners.

Yellowtail snapper candy

These 1/8th oz jigs with a small shrimp or cut bait have been working like candy for the yellowtail snapper. Just the right size to avoid the sharp eyes of the fish. Actually landed a 28” Red Grouper on this same jig! And it didn’t bend! Mustad hooks are the best!
