Great hook for Blackfish

I believe the Mustad 4011E #3 Hollow Point Virginia Hook is a great hook for Blackfish. It is very strong to handle those feisty fish that want to run back into the rocks. It holds the baits on it fine. If you like using smaller baits you could use the #4 Virginia hook. They do not bend or break as some other hooks do.

Cons
- There are some other hooks out there that might be a little sharper or hook a fish easier, but they are usually thinner wire and bend and break easier.

This is a very good 3/0 hook, but not packaged corre by mustad

I was looking for a small hook for kingfish , spot. Fish with small mouths. I ordered the size 3 hook. The package I received said size 3. Looking at the hook I realized it was not a small hook it is a 3/0 hook I looked at other mustard hooks and they had quite a few hooks that are labeled 3/0 hooks so mustard is not deviating from normal hook terminology except in this case. Be warned. This is not the fault of tackle direct.

This my preferred hook for Blackfish. It is the standard Virginia style hook made specifically for Blackfish. It was the old school staple and still catches Blackfish.

Great Tog hooks

I love these hooks for tautog. Good size and good at hold on to your bait with these notorious bait stealers. They are also good for seabass as well.
Pros
- Good size. I like that they come in 50 count packs cause you're going to lose a lot while tog fishing. And price is great considering you will lose a lot. It's not such a financial burden to lose a rig with these hooks.
Cons
- They flex alittle easier then I'd like and not as sharp as other hooks.

Bar None, the best tautog hook

I've used all kinds of sharp hook to fish for tautog including owner, gamagatsu, etc..
Due to nature of fishery for togs, they don't last sharp enough after banging around the reefs, rocks, etc.
As Title reads, these Mustad hook serves its purpose for me.
