I use these hooks to make Red Drum, Black Drum, Catfish, Alligator Gar Rigs just to name a few. Don't let the thin wire hook fool you they are tough as nails!!!

I make custom handmade fishing leaders for big game saltwater fish here in the Houston area and these thin wire wide gap Mustad Circle Hooks are AWESOME! The thinner shank hooks set perfectly in the corner of the jaw on Monster Redfish, Drum, Shark and Alligator Gar. I highly recommend them!!!

I use alot of hooks. I cut the barbs off every time I catch a fish (less harm to the fish)The 39944-bn mustad circle is the right size hook for big catfish (20 +#). Tackel direct is the only one I have found that sells them in a pack of 50.

Mustad is one of the biggest names in fishing equipment, and at the top of their line is their hooks. The Mustad line is strong, ultra sharp, and well worth every penny. Quality can be bought. The problem is if you buy if after you lost that fish of a life time, then there will always be questions. With Mustad there ARE no questions!!
