When in Doubt, use Mustad

For building my striper rigs, I use this hook snelled to 18" to 21" of 80# Yo-Zuri Flouro Leader and a Mustad Stainless Steel Crane Swivel. I protect my snoods with 0.5" of chafe tubing through the hook eye. In NY and NJ, only inline circle hooks are legal now for striped bass fishing.
Pros
- Mustad hooks are highly regarded for lower amounts of lost fish. Some tournament teams only use Mustad.
Cons
- None that I can think of.
