I rig my flatfall on the bottom hook to this heavy duty J hook with owner split ring. Heavy gauge wire and sharp. Hold up well when hooked 100lb tuna. Very impressive with this product.

Great hooks for rigging ballyhoo, albeit on the pricey side. If you like a more robust hook for rigging they are your god to hook

Been using these Mustads for years to rig my skirted trolling baits. There are alternatives but I've settled on these and they haven't let me down. I do touch up the factory edge to make 'em sticky sharp and that has paid off. I used to place in a vice to offset these although no longer do that (lazy)--couldn't help myself one time and torqued the hell out of it before it broke. Used PDS force measurement scale (Pretty Dang Strong).
