The MD Outdoor Angler's Tote is designed for use with light-tackle rods and reels. It is a practical, affordable, and convenient device for storing and carrying up to eight rods/reels complete with terminal tackle.

It uses upper and lower plastic clips to separate the rods and hold them in place. The system is sturdy and compact. The polyethylene clips and handle can be adjusted up or down on the frame, affording perfect control and balance. Fully rigged-out rods and reels are kept tangle-free when transported. The snap-in clips allow you to quickly load and unload the roads. The flat base permits upright storage. When fully assembled, Angler's Tote occupies a space 9 inches wide, 11 inches deep, and 48 inches long. Weight is less than two pounds.

Great rod tote.

This is a great product. I had mine for over 4 years before the clips started to break. It seemed like once one broke they all followed. It would be great if you could order just the clips/brackets that hold the rods in place. If anyone knows where or how to get the replacements please respond. Carry 8 rods with one finger.
Pros
  • Light weight and convenient.
Cons
  • Clips break

Rod clips break
September 11, 2018
This is the best rod carrier ever but the rod clips break in time. I've had four of these because
I like them so much but only if they were made with better rod clips. I'm using small crappie rods
after 8/months to a year I'll have one of the clips break other than that wonderful product. I'm giving
it a three only because of the rod clips other than that it would get a 10 because it makes carrying
six rods so so so easy.
Pros
  • outstanding design, holds six rods, very easy to carry six rods with no mess or tangles.
Cons
  • Clips that hold the rod in place break after many uses.

Great Product

This rod holder is excellent. Holds 8 rods easily and securely. The carry handle is located in the perfect location for carrying the rods. It can get very crowded with 4000 series spinning reels . Assembly was not hard, just follow the directions.

Very good value and worth the money.

Good tool, transport and storage product

Although a little painstaking to assemble, the Tote functions well for the intended purpose of safely carrying multiple rod/reels on and off a dock or to your fishing destination. Prevents the typical line and lure tangles that occur if you grab several "rigged-up" rods. Positioning the handle on the poles will balance the Tote so it's easy to carry. The included mounting bracket that allows the Tote to be used as a rod holder in a boat will probably work best in a pontoon or deck boat.
Pros
  • Lightweight yet sturdy
Cons
  • Requires careful assembly following directions closely about pre-soaking plastic parts in hot water. Beneficial to use a piece of 2 X 4 cut to length to fit between metal poles to tap the plastic parts evenly and without damage onto the two poles.

light, holds 8 rods

Easy to handle, keeps rods separated, even while rigged with crankbaits with treble hooks. Easy to remove rods as needed, and protects your gear in the truck bed or boat. Too early to know how it will hold up through the season since I've only had it a few weeks.
Pros
  • light, easy to carry and effectively keeps rods separated
Cons
  • none yet, but too early to know how it will hold up over multiple uses

One of the stages with the 6 pinchers broke. Is there a way to order just that part? Hopefully I can pull it apart and repair it.

We don't sell parts for MD Outdoors however your best bet is to contact them for the replacement part (972) 385-8721.
