DO NOT buy this rod/reel combo. I have never seen a reel break off at the stem where it mounts to the rod, but this one did as my 11 yr old was reeling in a fish. I contacted Roddy Lite customer service and sent this pic and their response was "... often fishing rods and reels are claimed to be defective when products are damaged under non-fishing conditions. Examples of this are operator error, car doors, ceiling fans, being stepped on accidentally, etc."
Please, for me, don't buy this reel. There are plenty of other options from companies that won't call you a liar when you let them know you had an issue with their reel. Get something else.

awesome product as well as service. made a courtesy call on a chip in the paint and gave me a 10% off, and shipping was on time. super awesome company and staff. Will use again.
