The HAL-LOCK outrigger pulley was specially designed for speed and efficiency (and it looks good too).  Simply pull the locking lever back and the halyard is pushed into the softer urethane insert locking the halyard in place. That Easy! That Fast!, and because of HAL-LOCK’s unique ability to lock, very little tension is required on the shock cord, allowing you to get your clip up and back down with less effort. Finally, you don't have to rig up a configuration using rubber bands, wire and swivels. These components are both unsafe and ineffective. Just leave it to HAL-LOCK and the job is much more safe efficient and easy. The sizes (6, 9 and 12)refer to the length of the shock cord and snap on the various models.

Must Have
July 22, 2021
These are a must have for anyone with a double rigged outrigger. They keep your line in the exact position you want and prevent them from "creeping" around. They are a must on every boat I have owned.

Used these on other boats and very happy with them. I used 275 para cord with them and it works perfectly.

After years of dealing with slipping outrigger lines, the problem is solved. This product works as advertised and is fantastic. I only wish I had purchase it years before.

Asked earlier what diameter line does HL 2 accept? Recently purchased two HL 2 and am in the process of restringing my outriggers. Previous user stated he uses 275 para cord (275# breaking strength). That is 3/32 or .93 diameter. It works because the cord will compress with the locking device engaged. The roller will accept larger line, but the controlling factor is the locking device. 300# mono has a diameter of .75 and the locking device is very hard to engage. 500# mono (.0985), forget it. Since the outriggers are black, will use a waxed twine that is .075 diameter.

It was recommended to me that you use either paracord or 400lb mono. The line that was recommended to me for this is: http://www.tackledirect.com/lindgren-pitman-lp-primeline-monofilament-400lb-100yds.html
