Very much enjoying my slow pitch adventure. This rod catches in long island sound and is a pleasure to use. I mated it with an Acurate Valiant 300 and it just works.

For the price these rods are in a league of their own. Don't be fooled by a company that says it's SPJ rod will fight a fish better. For this type of fishing the rod is there to impart action on the jig and the reel actually brings in the fish. Match up each rod to the size of jig used depending on depth,current and line diameter. It's a wonderful technique and a new approach to fishing.

Comparing with JDM Shimano Game Type Slow J and this MajorCraft GXJ-B66/5SJ Giant Killing Slow Pitch Jigging Conventional Rod, It is half price and actually, the rod action is much better.
MajorCraft rods make Tsunami, Jigging World, Maxel, Black Hole, Shimano, and Daiwa jigging rods are overpriced and overrated.

Stay with JDM rods. MajorCraft rods are the same as JDM rods.
