Hollow Body Phantom SpiderTopwater2in1/4ozLeaf$8.99 USD
A new twist on the popular hollow body topwater bait design, the Lunkerhunt Phantom Spider surely looks like nothing the bass in your local waters have seen before. Featuring a hollow carapace and 8 freely moving appendages, the Phantom Spider utilizes a completely weedless design to stride, glide, and twitch its way across the surface through areas of thick vegetation. The Phantom Spider is perfect for use in the warmer months around pads and grass mats near shore where spiders and other larger insects will approach the water's edge. While its great around cover, don't sleep on its ability to trigger explosive strikes in open water as well. Built with a self-righting ballast on its underside, the bait is sure to always land on its belly to begin scurrying across the surface as soon as it hits the water. The Phantom Spider is an ideal choice when pressured fish have seen their fair share of run-of-the-mill topwaters.

Fun lure to fish
May 17, 2022
Got this to fish for bass and it catches them. Nothing else bit it but bass. Haven't tried in salt water yet but seems it would hold up.
Pros
  • Black widow spider

Realistic appearance
June 24, 2020
Lure is very realistic looking. I have only used it a couple times, and have had bass hit at it. Missed them , but I took some pliers and pulled the hook away from the lure body on each side. Think I will catch the next bass that bites it.
Pros
  • Looks great. Attracts fish which strike it.
Cons
  • Hooks need to be bent out wider to secure hook ups after bites. Very light also... may need to use with spinning reel for further casts

Effective topwater option
April 14, 2020
Works well for pressured fish. As others have noted, the legs are less than durable. One person suggested super glue which could be interesting.
Pros
  • - Works well for pressured fish that've seen other topwaters a thousand times
Cons
  • - Legs last about a half-dozen fish

A lure with accurate and realistic design and action.
October 14, 2019
The most realistic top water action for slow movement that draws strikes. Especially when used in tight places.
Cons
  • After so many strikes it either needs replacement or at least reset the body.

I have purchased all the colors of the phantom spider and find that as of yet color doesn't seem to be a issue when fishin these baits. I have seem many poor reviews of the legs falling off which I have yet to happen to these baits. I used them catching many fish on the same spider and they seem to hold up very well as the strikes seem intense. I did look at a few and see where I needed to add a drop of glue but not on many of them. I give it 4 of 5 stars just due to adding glue to a few of them but all said and done it's a awesome bait for bass and hope to catch many more .
Pros
  • Drives bass crazy ----- intense strikes with a high hookup rate
Cons
  • Did add a few drops of glue on a few spiders and adjust hooks for a higher hookup percentage

Great looking lure but Faulty
August 30, 2019
Worked and looked amazing for about a 1/2 hour. After catching a 2 lb Bass (the only fish on it), the base separated from the hollow body on the very next cast. I was very impressed with it up until that point. Looks like they went cheap on the glue that holds it together from what I can see. I expected better from a $9 lure. Now I guess I have to spend more money on a better glue.
Pros
  • Very lifelike movements
  • Super responsive
  • Appendages and hollow body seem durable (when they don’t separate)
Cons
  • Poor construction (on the Glue used only)
