Start on any high mountain lake. Follow the water through countless rivers that increase in size before finally reaching ocean estuaries. Continue to the beach, pass the near shore structure, and head into the blue water. At any point in the journey you can catch fish on a Krocodile, whether the fish are trout or bass, salmon or stripers, bluefish or calicos, halibut or tuna.

It's been that way for generations. The Krocodile operates on a simple premise: big fish eat smaller fish. Year in and year out, the Krocodile proves itself to be the most productive spoon ever built. It can be cast and retrieved, jigged over structures, or trolled. Choose the size that best mirrors available forage, then pick the perfect finish from an extensive palette.
  • Versatile, multi-species minnow design
  • Heavy-duty construction
  • Corrosion-resistant finishes
  • Sizes 016 through 058 are rigged with split rings, swivels & "Red Magic" flipper tails
  • Sizes 034 & 100 are rigged with welded rings

Great inshore lure

These krocs catch everything. Reds, speckled trout, Spanish mackerel and blues attack this lure. Perfect inshore lure that produces great numbers.

bluefish magnet
September 12, 2020
Bluefish might hit just about anything, but this spoon enables a decent casting distance and can be worked with a moderate retrieve. It gets the attention of the fish without wearing you out.
Pros
  • casts well, attracts a variety of species
Cons
  • I swap out to a VMC 4x treble hook or Siwash Hook

Heavy - works great in surf
December 10, 2019
Get the heavy ones with the metallic shine and they work great in the surf. Recommended for bluefish and striped bass.
Pros
  • Heavy-duty, so shiny.
Cons
  • The metallic shine is a piece of plastic that is glued on and will start to peel.

also a good alternative to a Kastmaster for snapper blues
October 2, 2018
I personally prefer Kastmaster Types, but i always have a few of these in my arsenal when I'm trying to catch some good bait or trying to get some chum for sharking. They work great if tied on the end of a Sabiki.

Pros
  • Work great in paired on the end of a Sabiki rig or alone. Cheap enough that if you lose the lure you won't have to cry that you lost a $20 lure.

One of the best spoons I've used
April 10, 2017
The classic spoon has been around awhile and works great for numerous species. I've used them the most for salmon, but I've also caught other species with them, such as bass and trout. Works great. Be sure and use the appropriate color depending on water conditions, species targeted, and time of year.
