Have used this model many times,still one of the best lures in the tackle box.
Small Blackfin Tuna, ,Dorado,Kings,Ling fall for it jigged or slow troll.

Crippled Herrings are a classic for bass and blues. They work well from surf, pier or boat.

i caught lake trout,smallies and walleye on this jigging spoon, excellent for deep fishing

I lost my chrome crippled herring and purchased 3 new chrome lures different sizes in the summer of 2021 w/Tackle Direct and noticed they changed the design from the one I lost. TD as always handled the purchase efficiently.

After a single use of each lure the chrome bubbled, chipped off or peeled of each lure and hook rusted w/o catching fish. I fresh water rinse after use too. This is the only reason for the 1 star rating.

I did write to Rapala/Luhr-Jensen and they were very responsive and replaced the 3 lures after i sent in pictures of the durability issue. Plus I sent a comparison photo to an older designed crippled herring I've had over a 1yr that looks brand new even after catching bluefish. Even the replacement lure after 1x use the chrome started to blister off.

For windy conditions you can't beat this lure it works in the surf and caught fish, its just disappointing the durability is no longer a priority or they have a manufacturing issue at this time. I hope they fix this as its one of my most favorites baits.

If you experienced the same let them know so they can fix it.

This lure is a good lure to use off the pier it can be fished as a diamond jig for Bluefish, Spanish mackerel, Sea Trout and a lot of other species. This lure includes a treble hook and a clip by VMC in case one wants to change from the j hook. Over all a 5 star lure.

Not the flashiest looking lure in the tackle box, but it gets the job done. I've mainly been using it for bluefish and it has served me well. Really excels as a payload delivery system for a teaser up front, frankly where I've had my best success with it. Long, straight casts with this 2oz model. Not a ton of action, but you can jig it to your liking. Would prefer a dressed single hook for a little more silhouette, but I suppose then it wouldn't cast as far.

Great metal have caught multiple species on it

Casts far and looks good but I wish it had a swivel connecting the hook. I mainly fish from the beach so if this thing hits the bottom it will sometimes drag in the sand. So I have to use a fairly fast retrieve which is fine but limits my options from the beach.

Great for bluefish and spanish mackerel. Quality saltwater grade hook on it.

I remember having this lure in my tackle box or bag forever. This is a very versatile lure that can be used for so many different species, with so many different techniques. Therefore I think that everyone should have one of these on their boat or in their tackle box.

Great jigging action this is the best yet. A little pricey for what it is , but they work
