I've had the Gen2 version of the HDS 7 Touch for about 2 years now. As far as the operation of the unit it has been flawless and I can't complain at all. The touch screen is easy to use and very intuitive. It makes creating waypoints quickly on the fly very easy and the adjustable and custom made screens are great. My only complaint is that since switching from Garmin Sonar to the Lowrance I have had no luck whatsoever in getting the sonar to read properly while on plane. I've adjusted the transducer numerous times and even on my new boat I am having the same problem. I know this is a common problem and likely not directly related to this unit particularly so I can't knock the actual HDS 7 for it. All in all I'm happy I switched and I still have more options with the structure scan than I did with the old Garmin.

I am only looking to purchase the screen and mount to integrate with a hds9. Don t need the transducer part of the package. Is that what this offering is?
