The advertising videos were deceptive. I was expecting a split screen, but the Hook2-5x does not have that capability. Would only recommend it unless you do not care.

I have had mine for about two months. Set up and operation are intuitive and easy. I use mine for long lining for crappie, so knowing speed, and being able to mark way points is wonderful. Great product and great price.

Have used this product 5 times since I purchased a few weeks ago. I have been pleased with the performance. My only complaint is that it can be difficult to see screen in bright sunlight.

I bought the hook 5 w/GPS.I bought it for an ice fishing GPS it worked good.The chip isn't as good as the base map. I don't like the fact that you can't put an icon in with the touch of a button. It's difficult to put a waypoint in quickly, too distracting. Haven't tried the sonar yet.I like that it was easy to set up .I did have to tape label the buttons so I knew what was what .good price I might buy a 4x for 4x4. Bought unit 3 mo. Ago.
