Light weight

I purchased this rod to replace a cheaper rod that had began to rust. I used this rod to throw top water lures for specks. The rod was responsive and I was able to work my lure as I wanted. However I feel that I lacked in cast distance and placement control. This was minor and I was able to be successful.

Great multi purpose rod

Great overall rod. Lightweight and strong. perfect for moderate Texas rig or medium size swim bait. I've even used for A rig. Wouldn't say its a great rod for an A rig but works if you're in a pinch. Love the Winn grips and handle length.
Pros
  • Can be used for just about any style fishing.
Cons
  • could use maybe a little more weight on the end of the handle to balance it more.

can this rod be used adequately for pitchin and flippin-or is there a better choice

In theory you would be able to pitch and flip with this rod. However a rod that is specifically designed for this application will be much longer and heavier. A "flippin' stick" is generally 7'6" or longer and a heavy power fast action casting rod.

is it available?

We do not have this product in stock. It would have to be ordered from our supplier. The time frame would be 3-8 business days getting the rod to our warehouse.
