Lew's Combos are a Huge Value

I have been very impressed with every Lew's combo I've accumulated, and the spinning combos are no exception. I have used mine to finesse fish with great sensitivity and accuracy as well as power fish with heavy search baits,reeling for hours. The rods sensitive and durable and the Winn grips feel amazing. The reels are smooth and reliable and when finally taken apart for maintenance showed no excessive wear and no damage.I expect a long life, a lot of use, and few disappointments with this or any of the other Lew's combos I own.

Overall good setup

This is my go-to combo(7’ Medium) for wacky rigs or if I don’t feel like battling wind with baitcasters.
Pros
- Very lightweight, balanced, and sensitive. Huge fan of Winn grips as well
Cons
- My only issue that stopped me from giving five stars is when reeling back in quickly, whether to recast or whatever, if there is no load on the rod the line actually smacks the rod every time rotor comes around. No affect on performance but I find it quite annoying and the only spinner I?ve ever had do this. 12# mono.

Nice Set up

Honestly the Lews brand has always been a favorite of mine, but this combo is one of the best I've used for the price point. Reel is smooth and the handle is a good size and fits well in my hand. The rod is flexible enough to absorb a lot of head shakes from the big fish and strong enough to pull them out of medium cover. Overall I'm really happy with my purchase.

- Good Flexibility in the rod but with some backbone
Cons
- Reel was a little squeaky when I first used it and had to put a little extra grease to make it stop.
