Well rounded combo- read the review

I live here at the South Jersey Shore and fish the ocean, back bays, rivers and creeks. In each of those locations I utilize the same rod/reel combo (The Mach1). The almost 7ft rod length, ten eyelets, coupled with a super smooth spinning reel allows for long distance casts. With this combo I have landed an 18lb striped bass and yet it's my go-to rod for flounder and white perch as well. You can probably tell that I really like this rig and recommend it for any multi-task-type fishermen who likes fishing in various situations without changing equipment. The one thing I would recommend is: respooling the line with some heavier braided line and you're set for nearly all situations. Trust me, this is not a sponsored post just a satisfied customer. Mike
Pros
  • Ease of use and functionality.
Cons
  • The line which comes with the combo is less than perfect, replace it with a beefy braided line and you?ll be ready to take on anything.
