Just what I needed to put the lure back into service

There are no instructions for replacing hooks on the L.B. Huntington website, and nothing on YouTube. I called and emailed the company and a few vendors, but got no help. I was worried about snapping the tab off the spoon if I bent it too much. I ended up figuring out a method on my own. Here's how I did it. You do have to bend the tab to get the new hook in. There's no other way, as far as I can tell. Set the spoon on a board, concave face down. Using a nail set or pin punch or screwdriver and a hammer, tap the tab down just a little. Set the hook in place and tap down with the hammer and it will push the tab out of the way as it pops into place. Then flip the spoon over, concave side up, and use the nail set to tap the tab back into place to secure the hook.

These hooks are strong and last a couple years before needing to be replaced. They are easy to replace and hit perfect in the spoon.

I bought these hooks for the Older Drone spoons that had the screw together hook, But I was pleasantly surprised that I could also use them on the new bend type hook spoon, a better install than the bent hook for me. Thanks Tackle Direct for stocking these hooks, It sure beats having to pay $14.00 for a new spoon.
