These Tri-Flex Graphite Inshore rods add power to move the most difficult Stripers, Blackfish, Amberjack and Grouper quickly away from line-parting wrecks. Tri-Flex stands for our proprietary blank designs in which three layers of material, each carefully chosen to provide specific characteristics, are integrated at specific intervals within each blank. More to the point, these rods contain a combination of lightweight power, durability, sensitivity and structural integrity that you?ll go gaga over. The only thing Tri-Flex Graphite Inshore rods don?t offer is limitations. Fish one, and you'll gain a whole new understanding of what a rod can be.

Superb Striped Bass Rod

Excellent for live lining and chunking, the 7030CT is my go to. Enough backbone to stop fish and enough action on the tip to see all the small takes. Highly recommend!

Lamiglas TFX7020CT Awesome Rod
September 15, 2019
I actually bought this rod for fluke fishing and pair it, Seigler, Small Game Narrow Lever Drag Reel. It a rod with plenty of backbone on it, yet sensitive enough for fluke fishing. Plan to use this rod and reel combo for tog jigs, should be able to handle blackfish as well. Comfortable for a full day of fishing. Love the cork grips, can't say a bad thing about any Lamiglas rods. Highly recommend.
Pros
  • Strong, Lightweight, Cork grips, in my opinion, it easily handle 1oz to 4oz jigs, but gone as far as 6 oz with no problem but rarely do I go above 3oz.
Cons
  • Wish it had a hook keeper, other than that,,, none

missing G1000 Pro
May 11, 2019
Never met a Lami I didn't like, from the rare glass 605 and Perigree fly rods, to the G1000 steelhead rods for inshore use. I think TD is missing the boat by not offering these rods. When cast distance is everything, 8-1/2' Lami steelhead rod will double the distance of your basic 7' inshore rod. Simple ballistics, 20% more length means 20% greater lure release velocity, and that doubles the cast distance. I've fished the MH Rogue River special since before it was discontinued, and added the GP86MTC for a long rod ML slot. Casting from one slope of a narrow boat channel all the way to fish sign on the cut bank on the other side. Before-first-light dock fishing into the Arroyo Colorado, 15 select long casts with this rod to schoolie spec sign at the edge of the lights got me a limit before 5am every morning for a week - had to release every fish I caught drifting the flats that week. Drift fishing a power boat, the long rod gets your lure far away from boat hull-slap noise. Not trying to lead you away from TD, because they are The Best, but light long rods can be a hoot drift fishing the flats.
Cons
  • missing G1000 Pro from the Lami options

Plenty of Muscle
May 23, 2018
Living in Baja you never know what will grab your offerings. So you must be ready to tangle with some really big and tough fish. My LG has held up to big yellowtail, snapper and dorado. A great rod when you need to lay the hammer down dragging big fish out of the rocks.
Pros
  • Very strong yet light rod
Cons
  • Was hoping for a softer tip for plug and live bait fishing

Solid rod.

Bought this rod for togging in NY. Also ended up using it for chunking for Striped Bass. Plenty of back bone for pulling tog out of reefs. Landed a trophy bass and large bluefish without an issue.

Great rod
January 2, 2017
I really like the cork grips, and it really can throw 1 to 4 ounces. Great action in the tip. It is rate for 8-20 lb test, but I would say 10-20 is more like it.
Pros
  • Strong. Light weight. Cork grips. Great casting on a wide range of weights, 1 to 4 oz.
Cons
  • It would have been great to have a hook keeper on this rod. That would have finished it off nicely.

This rod is only rated up to 30lb line class, it's more of a inshore rod.

What's the difference between the TFX7030C and the TFX7030CT? I called Lami but the woman that answered had no clue, put me on hold for ever, and came back and said it has "tog" but she didn't know what that was either.
1 Answer
The TFX7030CT has no trigger on the reel seat. TFX7030C has a trigger. There rods are good for tog too!
