Is the 9ft Medium Fast able to throw 2.5 to 3oz pencil poppers? Also will this pair well with Shimano Stella FJ 5000XGFJ?

This rod will pairwell with a Stella 5000. It will handle pencil poppers up to 3oz well, howeverI would not overload it with anything far exceeding its lure weight range of ¾to 3oz.
