I'm looking for a casting rod in the 7 to 7.5 foot range to work top water lures (3 to 4 oz range) would either the lami 7030 or 7040 be good options? I'm looking for a similar action to their gsb 11 medium surf rod. If neither of these are suitable for my desired application, can you reccomend (preferably a lami casting rod) model that would suit my needs?

I would recommend using the 7040 for the style fishing you are doing.
