The JoeBaggs Resin Jigs are highly durable, extremely long casting jigs built for those chasing albies and bonita in the Northeast. Featuring a traditional lead jig construction, the Resin Jigs are comprised of a through-wired painted led core encased in an extremely hard clear resin coating. This smooth resin coating is stronger than traditional epoxy finishes and will never crack or break, keeping the jig in perfectly good shape as it bangs against rocks or gets chomped on cast after cast. The compact profile of the Resin Jig makes it a phenomenal caster even in tough conditions as they are highly aerodynamic and can easily cut through the wind. While these jigs were tailor made for high-speed false albacore fishing in New England, they also excel when used for plenty of other predatory species actively feeding on small bait such as striped bass, bluefish, Spanish mackerel, and more.

Great Jig, Inconsistent Quality
October 16, 2021
Great action on these resin jigs, but the hardware and weight are inconsistent. Per manufacturer's description, it is rigged with an inline hook. I did received one jig with an inline hook and another with a regular hook. According to the manufacturer, they ran out of inline hooks and replaced with a regular hook.
With an inline hook, the hook is either pointing to the top or bottom, when fish bites, it will hook either way. The manufacturer replaced with a regular hook pointing to the right (see photo), if the hook strikes the left side of the fish's mouth, the hook will just slip out in the middle of the mouth.
The 2 oz jig weights only 1.8oz, this should be labeled as 1 3/4oz instead of 2 oz.
Again good jig, but quality is inconsistent.
Pros
  • Good action
Cons
  • Inconsistent parts used and not correct weight. Manufacturer ran out of inline hooks and replaced with regular hooks. Toss up on what you will receive.

Good quality epoxy jig, that will cast a mile. They come with decent quality hardware, though I will likely upgrade anyway.

The Glow is real
April 13, 2021
Great casting, nice design, swims nice. What really makes this lure stand out is the glow. Take your cell phone flash light, hold it to the lure for a minute, and you'll see what I mean.
Pros
  • Great Design, Nice Casting, Supurb Glow
Cons
  • Single hook in the back is a bit small

Great albie jig
March 25, 2020
These are great jigs with a really good profile and weight to them. They catch very well which is important when chasing down the albies. I really like how it is a single hook rather than a treble hook like on the hogy jigs. These jigs also have a different body shape than the hogy epoxy jigs that I think gives this lure better action.
Pros
  • Great terminal tackle
  • great profile
  • Good weight
