Better guide finish than the ghost hunter (not chrome so they don’t rust). Thin blank that’s very strong and parabolic

Im looking for a rod that could handle a 50 lb tuna but maybe also be used to bottom fish deeper water for flounder, sea bass and maybe tautog. Would the 200S be a decent option for covering both?
1 Answer
Hi Matt, The Jigging World Black Widow 200S Popping Rod is made more for Tuna popping applications and It wouldn't be ideal for bottom fishing. Instead I would recommend a Shimano TLXS72H Tallus PX Spinning Rod. https://www.tackledirect.com/shimano-tlxs72h-tallus-px-spinning-rod.html This would be great to fish for both Tuna and bottom fish species like sebass, fluke and tog. Please let us know if theres anything else we can assist you with. Tight Lines.

Hi Rodney, The Jigging World Black Widow 300S Popping Rod will fit a Daiwa BG 8000 Spinning Reel. It will be a tight fit but it does securely hold the reel. Please let us know if theres anything else we can assist you with. Tight Lines.

Will a Penn Slammer 3 10500 (largest size) fit on the reel seat of this rod? If not, what is a similar one it will fit on?
1 Answer
We do not have any of the Slammer III 10500 in stock to check. However, the Slammer IV 10500 does fit on the Jigging World 7'6" Black Widow 300 rod.

Even though it fits, I wouldn't trust it. The reel seat doesn't hold the reel securely enough.
