Started with the 20lb test on a Penn battle 7000 for distance cast from surf worked great. The spool was a little over filled so I filled a Penn 1000 spool also worked great all summer got a little short from snags. That got me to the 10lb test on Battle 1000 spool nice feel with a 17lb fluorocarbon leader. Just pulled a 25in Striper out of the bay with light tackle VERY HAPPY. Only two bad wind knots all summer.
